Nighttime

When driving at night, remember to stay alert and reduce your speed. Turn on your high beam headlights where necessary. Make sure to minimize the amount of light coming from inside the cabin.

Ice

When you encounter icy roads, be careful of bridges, as they tend to freeze before roads. Do not slam on the brakes while on icy roads. When trying to slow down, carefully pump the brakes.

Dust

If caught in a dust storm, pull over and get entirely off the road and turn off all of your head and tail lights. Then wait until it is safe to resume driving. If you cannot get off of the road, reduce your speed to a bare minimum and follow the white lines on the shoulder of the road.

REMEMBER: Always leave an adequate amount of spacing between yourself and other drivers. If conditions become too intense, pull over and park your car.
